Just wondering if any of you fine Sheffieldonians can answer me a question? On the train a while back through Sheffield went past a small football or rugby ground like a non-league ground size maybe a bit bigger memory is quite vague sure it was not too far up the line from the station might be wrong. I don't think it was Sheffield F.C's ground either cause I've been there on one of my many visits to my 3rd favourite city. (After Salford & Manchester)

I suspect you saw the Coach & Horses ground, home of Sheffield FC. It's not really an option for us as it's not in Sheffield.

Solly, it'd help if you could remember where you were travelling from.

Which line was you on? You can see Oakwell when the Leeds-Sheffield train passes through Barnsley. You can also see Don Valley after Meadowhall(Or before dependent on which way you are travelling.



Is Crosspool not visible from any of the lines?

Could it have been Woodburn Stadium, where all the 5-a-side pitches are? Not being a Sheffield lad I wouldn't know which if any amuture adult teams would play there, though I believe that there are juniour teams playing under Woodburn Athletic Futbol Club banner.

Anyway Millmoor seems to big for the ground I seen sure of it and I know Don Valley having been there for games and the bowl behind it for the arctic monkeys gig in June its a little on the large side for the ground I seen

I'm not sure whether you can see Abbeydale from the Manchester line. That's very close to Dore Station and I would guess 5 mins from the main Sheffield station. That would be on the left of the train travelling to Sheffield.
