| Final score 8-18, better performance , but we couldnt finish off some of our plays. The breakaway try by the Welsh team was the game killer for me !
was it Kyle Kesick at Scrum half today (No 32) ?

| Really enjoyed todays game ( i didnt know what to expect this morning to be honest!). Today has given me a bit of confidence, hopefully it has given every single one of us, the fans the team, and the coaching staff the lift we all were desperate for.
I know its still a defeat, but a bonus point and hopefully the turning point. Will be wearing my Dons shirt with pride on Friday, I work in Leeds, and to raise money for charity everyone has to wear the sports kit of their favourite team for the day. beats the shirt and tie!! I escaped the Siddal fans as the pair of em were on a course thank god. but i got abuse from the Rhinos and Batley fans there (funnily enough there are no hunslet fans i am aware of). Mind u the Rhinos fans are also leeds united fans, so i managed to remember them of the Rovers playoff win!!!
Anyway, bring on the games. Im gonna try my best to get to more away games this season, my finances arent alwasy the best living on my own, I got to three last year, aim to get to 50% this year. Wish i could get to them all.
Wish the bus could pick us up nearer balby!!!! wink wink

| I was fortunate enough to miss last week's game, but I understand today was an improvement. Nice to see a bit of enthusiasm shame we lacked any kind of cutting edge.
I may be sad but I thought the referee had a decent game too.

He bottled the decision on Bovill in the first half IMO, he deserved at least a spell in the bin, it was a lazy effort of a tackle, and high as well.

| It looked from the West Stand (the opposite stand to the supporters) that the ref did cost us a try in the second half, i was shouting and swearing at him lol.
he ran in the path of our attacker, did it look different from your side.
in honesty the ref didnt do it on purpose, purely accident, and yes he had a good game apart from that, that was................

| Could not fault the effort today, I posted about the senior players standing up an I thought Jamie Bovill led by example and that was his best effort in a Dons shirt IMO. Much improved performance from the side today. Well played lads.

| Yes they stepped it up today and really tried.
But by the time the Dons realised that they could beat this South Wales outfit....it was too late.
I thought that we presented a better atacking line today and threw the ball along it very well at times.
There just wasn't anyone who had the skill to create the openings.
But come the return of the injured we may well begin to tick properly.
I still can't get out out of my head the dreadful luck we have had.
These two first games could well have been wins.....and the opposition is only going to get better.
That's typical Dons bad luck that is.....with two wins under our belts we would have been a lot more confident.
All that is set to change though......IMHO.....but the season may well be over by then.....but I am sure we will be seeing some good stuff at the back end of the season.
COYD
PS We really need to get our four fat guys to lose a bit of weight and get fitter.....it really would make a big difference!
PPS There was this Welsh bloke couldn't stop shouting ''Come on Scorpies'' every five seconds in my ear..........you did my head in boyo.

| Sorry, But I am still not as optomistic as some of the posters.
I felt that we lacked any cutting edge.
Left centre and wing were poor, ponderous and predictable - two tries lost for failing to go low for the line.
Half backs - some good kicking and defence but far to predictable and slow in decison making. If we could see where the ball was going to go from the stands, the defence could also see and set itself up accordingly.
Full back had a reasonable game, though taking the ball in the dead ball area with one foot on the line or out of play would have earned a 20m restart not a goal line drop out.
The forwards, with few exception, are too fat and too slow. Craig is a shadow of his former self I can only assume he is carrying an injury.
Right centre and wing, the only possitive for me - they showed a good understanding.
I can't see how after 42 minutes - 2 minutes after a 15 minute break, our players were puffing and panting to get back on side.
In the recent past, we have been there or there abouts, slipping to nearly men; through dissapointing; managed survival, endured relegation; went through a period of "rebuilding". All that is fine, but we are getting close to becoming a laughing stock and that is one step too far.
Something has too be done before the 296 begin to stay away as well.
The Scorpions were there to be taken, and we just didn't have the ability to take the three points.
