Start Mickey Mac to rattle their forwards, with Deacon on the bench.

Alternatively don't play Deacon at all and have Prescott as the other sub with Mossop dropping into the second row with Hock at some stage.

The last time deacon didnt play we lost 2 games running. He is too important not to play.

Got to play 4 props and 2 hookers for me. Leave Finch and Deacon in the halves and just spell MMc and TL. Its been proven this season that works much better than changing positions when we spell the hooker, moving people in and out of the halves etc.

Deacon can do what he does well from the bench or starting imo and it may be wise to keep him out of whats going to be an intense start to the game and let Micky Mac do his thing. He will bash people about all game long and thats a good weapon to have when the games starting at a frantic pace.



It worked in the grand final but i'm easy either way for this one.

Prescott instead of Cross and I'd go with that.

If that does happen(and I hope it's possible) I hope he'll have passed every fitness test they do with him with flying colours. We need to make sure he's 'fully' fit because chancing going down to 16 men in this game would be silly imo when Ben Cross is sat in the stands.

Madge has declared him fit today so it's a no brainer for me. Keep the 4 props who ripped Stains a new one.

I do agree with you. However I do believe the experience of Deacon plus the partnership he has developed with Finch needs to be used from minute 1. Let Micky Mac come on after 20-25 minutes and mix it up then.



Whatever happens, in Madge we trust.

If he's fully fit he plays without question. He's been fantastic this season and as you say those 4 ripped Saints forwards to shreds.



Get that hamstring tested to the max these next few days to make sure.
