[iHALIFAX captain Sean Penkywicz has become the first of the club's out-of-contract stars to commit to for next season.
The 27 year old hooker or half back, a former National League One Player of the Year nominee, has signed a new two year deal that will keep him at the Shay until the next round of Super League licences are dished out in 2012.
And Fax's director of football Martin Hall has said he expects further announcements ahead of Sunday's Northern Rail Cup blockbuster against Widnes at the Shay.[/i

Sean was going to sign for Leigh after a large amount of money was offered, but sadly fax have put a better offer on the table.

Lets do what we always do with Leigh lads wait until they are at the end of the careers and sign them then.
If money was the main reason Penky did not come to Leigh again, I personally don't want to see him signing for ius in 2 or 3 years time.If its because he thinks Fax are a better club well fine I have no issue with that and can't really argue.
This also again proves many know it alls on this site have not got a clue what they are talking about and should keep their "insider knowledge" to themselves because 90% of the time they are completely wrong.
