I know we should savour the moment, but after today's performance will Riely be sacrificed for Mathers to return? If so, Will Carney & Hicks play?

I think we missed Mathers for his attacking play. He has played like a third halfback linking into the line, even doing some of the kicking.



I'm still not convinced that Hicks adds that much to the team, especially now he isn't kicking, so maybe I'd go with Carney and Riley.

Still a mixed bag today. Great take for a bomb, nice try. He dropped a ball when we were attacking that Salford swooped on, then on what was probably the next set made that calamitous error when bringing the ball out of his own half. Salford stank enough not to make us pay today, with the games coming up, I'm not sure Leeds or Wigan for that matter will let you off as lightly.

Carney is the one I would leave out, not that he's done anything wrong like.

Riley - also dived onto a ball from a tough kick and tackled myler when it was one on one.



I would drop Carney (bench or completely) if TS plans to get rid of him at the end of the season. If not who knows.

That's the best reason to leave him in for a trip to Leeds - we'll need good ball control, discipline and quick play the balls on sets in our own half. Carney gives us all that. I'd select Carney and Riley on the wings.

Carney and Hicks for me. Hicks has far more composure and plays a basic and disciplined game. He's also a try machine when it clicks plus he can kick too. Carney looks solid and offers a greater threat in attack if the ball ever gets out there!

Riley should miss out. Shame really. At least I don't have to tell him.
