Does anyone have any suggestions as what to do where to go whilst in Edinburgh?
Circumstances meant that i was only able to go to the rugby last year and nothing else, so havent much idea of whats what.

Some people I know went to this Irish pub down on Grassmarket and said that it was decent. I can't tell you myself, though, 'cause the doormen wouldn't let me in.

For parking use the park and ride. Think it is the Ingliston one which is free 24hr parking and you just pay for the bus (£3 a day or £1.20 a trip)

I always use the free parking at Leith and catch a bus into the city when I visit, (does anyone know if the tram has got that far yet ? ) if you're interested in something more than a pub and a pizza shop (come on folks you can find those down the bottom of your own street) you'll find plenty to do in the city centre, in fact theres so much to do that it would be easier if you highlighted a few things that you enjoy so that others can point you in the right direction.

The ghost walks and tours around the vaults are always good for a laugh. You can walk up Arthurs Seat for free. There's the castle and Holyrood Palace. Not forgetting the Whiskey experience. Loads of different things to do.

If your in fancy dress, chase my sister she's shopping in edinburgh whilst we're at the rugby, last year she was chased by some cavemen it was hilarious watching her try and run
