the reason war of the roses isn't done at wembley is people who aint from lancs/yorks don't give a toss about it. same with SOO not all league fans are in the north you know. and why would the northerners all travel to wembley for another game they come for the challange cup.

Roses matches will do nothing except flood the captial with northerners and not draw in locals. SOO will do nothing to promote anything other than SOO. the fact is nobody cares about SOO if we wish to watch RL we have plenty of teams and games to watch here.



the reason AFL and NFL games sell well here is that its because people have no other place to watch them on a regular basis so its a novelty to see a top flight version of the sport.
