Indeed, Morgan was quite specific in his post match interview that Colbon had broken multiple ribs and would be out for a number of weeks. He has plenty of previous in the drama queen post match diagnostics department, though.

Actually his post match interview said he believed he had either broken ribs or damaged rib cartilage. After scans and medical advice the situation could be different.

No he didn't say he "believed" it, he quoted it as FACT, pay attention. Morgan is the biggest overstater of the seriousness of injuries in post match interviews ever. Ever. Amazing that he can make detailed medical diagnoses without the appropriate medical equipment and having no medical qualifications. He'll be falsely claiming 3 broken jaws in one match next.

FWIW, he has broken at least one rib. God knows why he's in the 19, I'm no doctor but I wouldn't have thought a week long enough to heal a fracture.

Nothing you can do really to heal them AFAIK. Shame for Liam, but sounds like he'll be back soon if he's well enough to make the 19.

Hull KR winger Liam Colbon has been ruled out of Friday night's visit of Harlequins to Craven Park with broken ribs.



Colbon was a serious doubt after coming off during Rovers 22-6 defeat at Huddersfield in agony.



And coach Justin Morgan confirmed the matter to the Mail today.



"It's broken ribs for Liam" he said.



"We were hopeful that they were going to be okay and he could play with a jab but it looks unlikely he'll be able to play this week. A lot depends on how quick the ribs settle down."
