I have a feeling (It was a while ago so I seriously cannot remember) that I payed £50 for 100xNormal shares.



That doesn't mean that they went for 50p a share this time though as I think (again not sure) that I got them pre SL.



Edit-After a quick search when I pretty much went straight to them I can confirm they are 50p shares and I got them in 2006.

I can't find information on the shares anywhere, Perhaps if you could find me the SYMBOL or ISIN?

Although if you pay £1 on companies hoiuse you can get form AR01 and there is a list of all the shareholders on there.

Well, Mate, I don't want to pay a quid unless I'm going to get two shares, Yes, TWO SHARES! I don't mind much who the shareholders are, I've seen the majority shareholders and they're all up over 100,000 shares. If the £125,000 is for shares priced at less than £1 AND they're all for one person that isn't already one of the majority share holders, This would make the new shareholder the new [imajority [/ishareholder and subsequently - Owner.

No it wouldn't as they wouldn't hold the majority of all the shares.

A majority shareholder has to own 51% of all available shares as far as I understand it.

PLC's are 'public', so any old idiot can buy their shares, traded on the stock exchange. The other shareholders have little control of who buys them. E.g. Edith buying one share in barnabusawesomeavatar plc.



LTD's are 'private', so any old idiot cannot buy their shares. Their share is usually sold to a specific buyer, to whoever the owner(s) wants and price they want. E.g. Pearson buying Hull from Hetherington & Co.

dead right and i have 100 shares i bought mine when rovers Nealy went belly up i will not get rid until i die and then my 2 grand kids can have them and then if they want pass them to their kids or grandkids

So the £125,000 would need to be for over 600,000 shares? We might be safe from a change in owner then.



That is unless there is also a sale of a current Shareholders shares to whoever the new shares may be for, that could make a new majority Shareholder.
