| Not managed to find the April 14 interview, but [url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/7972750.stmthis one[/url pre-dates it by only a fortnight and is interesting listening as it talks of financial investment.
It occurs only 7 weeks before the 'crisis' meeting with Carl Hall on May 19. How can things have changed so dramatically in 7 weeks???

| Quote Starbug="Starbug"To get this money from the RFL involves employing key personel that in all honesty you probably dont need
There is little if any cash monies from the RFL'"
The modern club/game is not just about putting a team on the field, the RFL want and demand that clubs develop their own talent, this means clubs have to have a employ people to go into schools, local clubs and even non-heartland areas, this is an area that the Dons have excelled in, we have more than a dozen secondary school and god knows how many primary schools playing rugby league, this Sunday sees the first of seven under 11's tournaments being played at Moorends.

And even though you have done plenty of good work if you ended up dissapearing from the pro sport it wouldn't continue
All I did was point out to whoever posted it that the 100k from the RFL is not all it seems

I m sorry folks, but rather than analysing another collapse of the club should nt we be looking at ensuring that it never happens again.
We can argue between ourselves on this site forever with the hope that another consortium or knight in shining armour comes along to save the club. Arguably if this happens there is a very good chance that some of the people who may have got us into this position would still be around.
And I believe we the supporters would find ourselves in this position again, after all, the likelihood is that these people will either not have club's best interest at heart or be capable of promoting the club properly and repairing its tarnished reputation.
I believe we should look at the possibility of a Supporters Trust either to take club forward alone, or as an independent body to work with any potential new owners to ensure some stability to make sure this never happens again.
So lets stop contemplating our navals or planning what we will do next summer on Sunday afternoons.
 So come on you Dons

There lies the challenge to all Dons supporters.
This lot have failed miserably and the WHOLE management team should
never be given another chance to be involved in Doncaster RLFC again
or any other Rugby League team for that matter[iQuote Trotsky'" [/iQuote Trotsky'"

| i think some of the blame for our plight should fall at the RLs door.surely the people who looked over the clubs business plan should have seen its shortfalls, and advised us that maybe we should stay in DIV2 till they sorted out the clubs problems after CH left.i think someone has said sod it let them go ahead its no skin off our nose.im not willing to let all the blame to be put squarely on the boards shoulders.they gave it ago bless um ,and its been abit over there heads.what evers happened i still admire them for trying.a BIG thanks to them from me for giving it a go

Believe me the RFL would have been ultra careful in giving their approval.
If the current 'team' running the club wish to convince me and others that they are not 100% the problem they should make public the agreed budget and the contracts etc entered into since approval was granted-
i think it could make interesting reading. That is the only way of them being able to be afforded some diluting of the blame.
Sadly i realise weve got no chance of this happening.

It would also be in the supporters interests that confirmation is given that all the staff/players were party to the 25% pay cut some weeks ago.
That includes the officials.
Why do i think this is important?
Because if the cut was across the board(as it should be) at least it shows everyone employed by the club was pulling the same way.
Clarification is ALL that is needed.
If not received, the fans doubts on how the club has been run this season are going to drastically increase.
