| I have a feeling that there was similar confusion this time last year ... although I can't honestly remember if it counted or not last season.

| Sorry to say but i think we were poor for most periods of the game today,if we had all the injured players back it might have been a different scoreline. Credit to Thatto for giving us a game. I have to agree with others that Carl Hughes was also my MOTM.
But as they say we are in the next round of the draw.
Who would fans like in the next round?, and home or away?

Anybody beatable at home.
Ditto all the way ... as far as possible.
The longer we stay in the bigger the possible reward ... IMHO
What's the point in going out away to somebody decent for a few quid?
Short-termism if you ask me.

| Looking back to the weekend we were very disappointed not to have taken the opportunity to progress against what looked a very average Doncaster side in my opinion. On that showing they were certainly no better than anyone in the upper reaches of the National Conference League Premier Division and had we played to our potential I think we'd have been in the bag for the next round.
I think the quality of rugby we played was far more skilful than that what your boys did. Just look at the quality of the tries that both teams scored. Doncaster probably just had the edge on fitness and professionalism which is what saw them home.
I can't recall a clean break that Doncaster made other than the last tackle panic play that led to Colton's try. I thing we were denied a grand finale when the ref pulled the break back near the end to award Donny a penalty for our 17 calling your 21 an f****** prick after he'd recieved a fair bit of treatment on the floor from him. Have you before seen a penalty given for a bit of verbal sledging between two players? Think there'd be a penalty every tackle if that was the case!
If you've got ambitions of being up there in Championship One then it is either a very poor league or you've gotta improve massively. That said, all the best for the rest of the season from all at Thatto Heath Crusaders.

| deffinately a good Thatto Heath side that came to play good rugby and all credit to them for that.
Maybe its time to look at promoting these sides into the pro ranks, their grounds can't be much worse than Swintons.

| We are through to the next round and that has to be a bonus against a very competative Thatto Heath team.
I was dissapointed at the very few times we managed to make a pass to a player running onto the ball, all to often it was taken by a man standing still which gives the defenders the oppoertinity to wrap them up. Also how many times did we fail to use the final ball productively, it seemed far to often we were caught in possession on the last tackle.
To finish on a positive note, I know it is early doors, but I think the new signing Morrisey(?), should make a good partnership with China, they seemed to gell quite well straight from the off.

| like i said thatto played with spirit and no little skill and great credit to them for that,as we did not play to our true potential and with key players missing it was understandable, and the penalty was awarded for foul and abusive language this happens in super league, and both championship 1& 2 accept defeat sportingly as we did against siddal last year when we were completly.

I completely accept the defeat, Docaster deserved the win. Foul and abusive language to the ref is rightly penalised at all levels, but I was just asking if anyone had seen a penalty before for what is essential a bit of banter between two hard players (this was confirmed by the referee and the match commissioner as the reason for the penalty after the game). I've no doubt that it's covered somewhere in the rule book regarding ungentalmanly conduct but rugby league would not be a spectacle if a penalty was given everytime the players swore at each other!
4th round draw is on 20th March

Perhaps your 17 had already been warned about his conduct but chose to ignore the referee's advice,
hence the penalty.
Just a thought.

| And an ex Dons player scored a hat-trick against us.
We didn't seem to have anyone anywhere near as fast on our side ... which was and is a concern. Our wingers aren't greyhounds are they?
China was fast but has lost a yard and Wilson doesn't look that nippy. They are still fast and good near the line, but I haven't seen our wingers scooting down the wing like Woods did.
Mind you that all depends on how well the centres offload.
Still I prefer to think that Thatto were very good rather than Donny were poor. If you look at results involving teams we have played against recently, we don't have a bad record ... so we can't be as poor as our Thatto fan would have us believe.
