I think you're both right to a degree. We were excellent against Bradford a game I fully enjoyed watching. Against Cas we dropped the ball too often and they played well with the extra possession. yesterday we were nowhere near in the pack and had little platform.

Pretty much how I see it. I'm not saying we threw the ball about all over the place for free-flowing stuff in the first 5 games, but we did actually try different tactics they just didn't always come off. It was actually part of the reason we dropped so much ball against Cas. Last night we didn't even attempt anything approaching inventive, that's the difference.

It,s simple. We've been found out. Any worthy coach just closes our halves down and they know we have nothing else. When we get some time there is no communication between halves and backs. I remember at least 3 times last night a short kick went in and the backs were stood back expecting the pass so they were able to gather in goal and comfortably bring the ball away under no pressure.

What i'm saying is that in all our games we have started with the same game plan, to get on top down the middle thus allowing our halves and backs some freedom. Now we have been found out and teams know how to nullify us.

It appears that the pre-season confidence, spirit and enthusiasm has now gone and we have come back down to reality. The honeymoon period is officially over. We are playing the most boring and predictable rugby in SL with little or no attacking flair whatsoever. Hard work can only achieve so much and we can now accept that we are a very average SL side that will finish exactly where we deserve to.



Leeds and Saints are so far infront of us. 5 drives and a kick just doesn't do it for me and if every team played that way, I would soon lose the will to even watch the sport at all.



As for our bench ??????? WTF ???

You need to stop listening to Stevo. Calderwood was well covered by two Quins players and palming the ball back was the right option. That it didn't come off doesn't alter that.

Line defence was shocking last night ! 5 drives and a kick was what we had under the dark Sharp days when we finished next to bottom - oh yes last season !

Did Giants hammer Quims only 6 days ago with such boring tactics ?

We won't win the big semi final games with such tactics so why do we employ them now ? We might as well play expansive rugby from day 1 of the season and when the CC semi and GF eliminator comes along we may well have a chance v Saints / Leeds etc. Can we beat those teams with an arm wrestle - hoping to grind them down ?

If so please refund my season ticket as I don't want to watch 5 drives and a kick anymore - in fact I never have done.

We do need a big 13 and a great 7 by the way.
