More to Allam's new move than meets the eye, I expect.

Can't see the report online yet but from the Twitter trails I'd say it looks like Shane Richardson and Kath Hetherington negotiated us a better deal than we'd been led to believe. I suspect this could have been a factor in AP buying the club. This is a smart move by the Allams, calling the council's bluff on independence by offering to give up the SMC. . But there remain inconsistencies. If the SMC are so keen for transparency, why do they no longer include a detailed P&L in the accounts? Cash in the bank vs reported losses. How come our rent is meant to be the highest in SL but the SMC reckon we cost them money? However until we get a forensic audit it's one side of the story. Whether we ever hear FC's version, I doubt it.

IIRC the rumour was: after AP had negotiated Hull City's terms with the council, t was only once he got control of the SMC that he saw the terms negotiated between Hull FC & the council. He almost had an apoplectic fit and tried, unsuccessfully, to renegotiate Hull City's terms.

Nothing new or shocking though, we all knew we got 'free' stewarding for starters. Got to give Kath and the old board their due, they did a better job on this deal than we realised.

Maybe paying to display the pictures isn't so bad then?

All depends on how you define "subsidies" and it does seem a little strange that there was no problem with these "subsidies" until recent months.



Anyway, you'd be better fretting over when and under what terms "Doctor" Allam will demand the return of his gift/soft loan, rather than worryig yourself over our difficulties
