Like someone said hes a fc player for a start so that seals it for me,but apart from that the guy is lucky to be even playing the game what hes been through.

'Sports personality' is such a stupid term for awards like these. Like the BBC awards which are judged on sporting endeavor only and should be named to match. 'Personality' doesn't come into it otherwise Chris Hoy would have won nowt! If you want to give awards for work in the community then give one for that sperately. Making it clear to voters what criteria they are voting on other than it being a popularity contest should be high on the agenda.
