There was a bloke sat in East Reserved who was going on all match about "why do they get a French referee ?", and telling everyone how wrong it is.



I wonder what Catalans themselves think when every other team they play is British, and they normally get a British referee ?

It was wrong IMO due to a number of reasons; Alibert isn't a good referee at the best of times and having him officiate a French side puts him under pressure from the fans from the off and as we saw last night he doesn't respond very well to it.

Also don't forget Catalans are playing in the 'British' Super League.



There's also the fact that their players can shout, "Forward pass" in French and ours can't. My main gripe though is that his mother Is a hamster and his father smells of elderberries.

He shouldn't be allowed to referee Catalans games.

Because he's French or because he's a poor referee? Catalans have lost both games that Alibert officiated in Super League, remember he's from Toulouse not Perpignan.

No they aren't. SL is, and always has been, a EUROPEAN league. It's what the E in ESL stands for.



Why some folk have so much difficulty remembering this simple fact is beyond me TBH.

Ganson shouldnt be allowed to ref Sts games and same should go for Halibut reffing the French....do it that way and we then dont get stuff like this.



Halibut was truly awful missed loads for both teams but was willing to do us more for lying on than the frogs.

His nationality is not the issue....he is just shiit...kept us entertained though as we never knew what he would do next, mind you clearly neither did he

Last time I checked, Alibert wasn't from Perpignan and wasn't a Dragons supporter. That should be all that matters.



The fact that he simply isn't up to SL standard and in fact would probably struggle to ref two pub sides is the problem. His nationality and which teams he attempts to referee is inconsequential.

I'm not that fussed who refs the game as long as he is fair and capable.

I thought the 'E' was for Engage!!
