Quote Rugby Raider="Rugby Raider"Don’t agree with the SL haemorraging attending supporters.
Haven’t got the actual stats to hand, but think average SL crowds has been increasing season upon season.
Easy to think crowds were huge in the 80’s. That may be true for Cup games, with all semi finals attracting 20k+ and big Wembley crowds.
However, many club’s league gates were modest. Early 80’s, Hull and Rovers were comparable to today. However, until Wigan struck gold, their gates, along with Sts, Leeds and Bradford were often c6-7k.'"
I'm sure your right but cos I don't get out much I read a lot of national sports stuff and radio and I'm just saying what the perception of many sports writers etc. about our sport seems to be. the term haemorraging fans was the words used on talk sport when the fixtures were discussed. It's a perception thing. We are 'knee deep in the hoopla' as far as the game we love is concerned but to continue to attract national media attention in national newspapers TV and radio etc a level of national credibility is important particularly if we are to reverse sponsorship trends, tv money allocations etc. At present the perception out there does not match the reality.
Incidentally not as straight forward as Salford thought, they hoped it would go through the special meeting today perhaps some clubs have reservations this time around.

| Sorry won't let me edit my post. He also made 170 meters, 3 line breaks and 3 try assist (although first one was very lucky). Shows good running and passing game in these highlights https://www.nswrl.com.au/news/2025/03/08/the-knock-on-effect-nsw-cup-highlights--round-one---magpies-v-knights/ Hard to know the standard. Joe Lovodua played hooker against him.

| Rugby RaiderDave K.: Apart from the odd comment on social media, I haven't seen any firm links with him.
This is how I see it, people seem to be just putting a name out there. One thing that looks certain now the ridiculous Brown deal has been confirmed this morning is that Pryce will be on the move end of the season. I think he’ll have a few interested over here and depends on how much he’s enjoying it over there might get a similar gig in Aus as a squad player. If he wants to move now that would give us a little bit of an advantage if we are actually interested.

| Wasn't totally sold by Pryce during his time at Huddersfield and was quite surprised he got an NRL deal, however its easy to forget he's still only 22 years old.
Certainly a talent and isn't much better around who don't count to quota.

| The Brown deal is bonkers, he is good, but he will be highest paid player in SL and ne where near that, 4 better players at the storm than him for a start.

| Think this thread has now reached the end based on its title so will lock it. For new signings and possible options for 2026 I've created a new topic.
