Using the logic of others, the club were right in accepting the bid, even if Atkins says he wanted to stay, if he admits he wasn't playing at his best. If he feels that way I'm sure other members of the squad will do, and they should play instead of him.

Couldn't give a damn, we have all seen big players come and go, Ryan is just another on that list. A good player, but there will be others.

Just cant believe that a professional sportsman is willing to play below standard and not do anything about it till a big pay cheque comes along. Might get shot down for sayin it but its my opinion.

If Atkins never wanted to leave and it was all the clubs doing, why would he not sign a contract extension? I am guessing that the club did make some attempt to resign him with no luck, so is the claim he wanted to stay a load of old knackers?

How is he meant to sign one when there is not one on offer?

What, so the club made absolutely no attempt to keep him at all? A potential GB International who is young and British who has shown great promise in the past? We made no offer at all?

Millard looks like he has plenty of skill, looks like he can replace Atkins but he is a different sort of player.
