Joe Batchelor signed for Hull 2026. With Griffin probably been in his last year that would have been a good pickup for next few years. Wonder if we were interested. There are a few English based players worth looking at available for 2026. I see Jumah Sambou at Oldham is having a good start to season with 6 try’s from 4. Only 23 and looks like a wing prospect. Seems very evasive on front foot. Not rumours but I’m looking forward to see how our squad evolves over next few seasons. I think we probably only need to add 2/3 quality players a season to see steady progress.
Yeah, I wonder if we enquired as well. I had ideas that it'd have been good to get both brothers here for next season and then Batch signed an extension for Hull KR and my enthusiasm went away. I could have sworn I looked up Joe to see what his contract was at Saints and thought he had another 2 years which also put a spanner in the works to signing both but I must have got it wrong.
Didn't realise he was 30! Reading some St's fans comments seems like they feel its his time to move on and he's has his fair share of injuries. Thought he looked injured Saturday tbf, he was holding his shoulder for a while
