Wigan Saints still means something, even the friendly got people talking.

True enough it's got more interesting now Saints have picked up. Good Friday has kept its shine but I've been distinctly not bothered with the later game in the season for the last couple of years or so with the cup and play offs taking precedence. Think it'll be a lot better next year onwards

Still some East stand terracing tickets available on e-ticketing, thought they'd have flown once they hit general sale. Will we end up sending a few back to Saints for them to sell?

We've sold over 4,000 which is more than they've brought to the DW in recent seasons, they will all be sold by Friday.

We've gone from an initial allocation of 1800 to 4000 (I haven't seen any request for further tickets, but would be happily proven wrong) or are you saying there's over 2000 Wigan fans who would rather give their money to saints as opposed Wigan?

Wigan sold out of that batch of 1800 terracing tickets within a few days to season ticket holders and did get some more. Not sure how many but they definitely got more.

We sold the initial allocation in 3 days. Got our final allocation which was just over 2,000 (Only around 100 of those left) And we have also sold around 300 tickets for the home end.



The over 4000 tickets bit is on Wigan's official twitter page, by the way.

That terrace holds about 3,500 and the seating allocation will be about 500. So yeah 4,000 sounds about right.

2000 to Saints fans who are going to stand in the East end.

Should have been on nights Thur but just booked it off. Got 2 tickets from Wigan no bother so clearly still available. Come on, get behind the lads and let's fill Lavatory Park!!

I ordered 4 last Friday and an extra one today,I was strongly advised to pick up from the dw as stains are unreliable and ballsed up last year.

I'm unable to get to the dw so I'm gonna have to take the risk,has anyone had any previous dealings with picking up tickets before the game at langtree?

I know a few Saints fans who've bought tickets in the away end.

With Saints having only 13,500 tickets to shift (of which 10,000 must be ST holders) for their biggest home fixture in years I'd have expected you to have to use some of that end for yourself anyway.



Surprising that the demand isn't there to warrent that. We used to shift more then that when we were bottom of the league

If we could sell the east stand to Saints fans, we would have gone pretty close to filling up the 18,000 anyway.



And biggest home fixture in years? Hardly.

There's no reason you can't surely?! Wire sell tickets in the supposed away end.



Like I say there isn't a demand I presume to be able to do it which is surprise. This game for Wigan has been one of many big games over the past few seasons but it's been overshadowed by semi's, finals and a couple of WCC appearances. Saints have not had those to worry about in the main but even the Wigan fixture hasn't been a source of comfort as they've been pretty one sided.



Friday is Saints biggest game in a good while, make no mistake. A side on the up, playing well and wanting to prove a point.

How do you know there isn't a demand? Saints are obliged to give Wigan a certain percentage of tickets. You don't see Wigan selling out the North Stand for derby fixtures at the DW do you?

That's cause we're too busy shifting 19,000+ seats in the home sections - a total which exceeds the entire capacity of your stadium.
