Personally, I think we should have two mascots.
A Lion called Ancient & a Lion called Loyal.
It would work with kids and they are a traditional part of the crest.
I thought the bullman/bullboy combo was fantastic at it's peak. We could easily pull it off.

I've got a coup that might be in Mr Leneghans price range! It would be a fantastic signing that would bring in two world class people from another sport, they have a good grounding in another club and I'm sure would bring alot to the Warriors.

Just to clear it up (in case anyone isnt sure), the name was taken from our Jnr RL side 'Wigan Warriors', after most other SL clubs adopted a catchy name. First started by Keighley Cougars in '95 (i think)?
As our club was pretty much founded by Wigan anyway, we had no choice other than to give the name away, and we became Leyland Warriors instead.
Personally, i dont mind it........But prefer Wigan RLFC for sure.  |

Classic Idea......Drop the Tag and two lion mascots!! Be great if the club did this for 2010. RE: the Wigan V Latics thing and what we're recognised as I think 90% of wigan (including the pathetics) refer to Wigan RL as Wigan and Wigan Athletic as Latics....always have and will do....we just need to ensure the national media does not start trying to change this with their pro soccer anti league stance. For me we should go back to simply Wigan RL. The lions mascots idea is a cracker |
