| Quote LewCharnock="LewCharnock"I didn't see Mathers do anything wrong, but Myler definitely give the Wigan fans the V's.'"
If true he should be given a warning letter from the RFL.
It's all well and good having abit of banter with the fans when scoring a try but thats overstepping the mark. I know he'll have had plenty of Wigan fans giving him the V's but thats not the point.
He's meant to be a professional and things like that will make him and the sport look a little silly.
He's only young though.

| If we want our sport to be the number one in everyone elses eyes then at the least Myler should answer to the RFL because lets face it irrespective of wether we bring kids into or whatever the fact is if Wayne Rooney or Steven Gerrard did what Myler did then they wouldn't get away with it. Gary Neville was banned for inciting the crowd as was Adebayor and that is exactly what Myler did he incited the crowd if they didn't get away with it then why should he/they fair enough Rugby fans are far more tolerant than football fans but its inciting the crowd all the same. Whoevers view you take, What makes me laugh about Wire fans is they overlook the fact that they would be doing the same as Wigan fans are if Tomkins did what Myler did.

Well Wire_Yed etc.
We've obviously found 1 of the Mythical "Casuals", I'll leave it up to yourselves/The Club to decide what you want to do about it.
As he says Quote Wires_Forever_18_x="Wires_Forever_18_x"what is it with you wigan fans? Blah Blah Blah,
[ueveryone who attends any rugby match should expect swearing, violence, and gestures with whatever they signalise. so for myler and mathers to give the v's then that is nothing compared to what normally happens in a rugby match[/u!'" "
Well I don't know what Rugby matches your guys go to but I Don't EXPECT any of it!

just flicking through at night and i read this so seeing as you ask Duke i don't agree with him, violence at a rugby match should be frowned upon by everyone, i never said there wasn't violent people who support a team I'm not naive to think that, just not the millions wigan fans make out.
Although violence on the pitch is ok in moderation
Swearing not really, gestures from fans no issue with, players yes i have an issue with.

If I recall correctly Mathers and Myler recieved no further punishment after this. Hopefully the RFL's disciplinary panel are as consistent as your good self

| this is what the rfl had to say about super richie myler,
"The RFL have written to Richie Myler confirming that his actions were misconduct and not those expected of a professional. Myler is well regarded by his club and many supporters in the game, and this incident appeared to be out of character. On that basis the RFL will not take any further action against Myler, but have warned him about his future conduct. If an incident of this nature takes place again he is likely to face disciplinary action."
so no action by them against sam if they follow precedent.

| So hopefully a precedent exists and no direct action/ban will ensue.
The fact that Sam has been consistently booed and taunted by Leeds's and other fans for the past three months (unlike Myler, who hadn't been booed by anyone)) is another mitigating factor in Sam's favour.
A warning letter that any repeat of such behaviour would be punished more severely would be the logical and consistent response by the RFL.
