I think that's a bit narrow. Royce is a pretty honest bloke and knows that we just got beat tonight. What do you expect - somersaults?



I think he's just making the point that many others have made - at times your tactics are 'questionable'. That don't mean that, like all other 'honest' Saints fans that we weren't beaten all hands up tonight. I don't think you'll find him complaining.



I think you will find his players are gonna get it this week though cos I know from one of them directly that there was a 'conversation' after the game.

I thought saints, on average ,were longer in the tackle than us tonight and not often square at the play the ball.

Wigan were definitely in the tackle longer than Saints but there was nothing illegal in what they were doing, purely because they were getting numbers into the tackle. It is a tactic they have used very successfully since Maguire came in and the most disappointing thing as a Saints fan is that we don't try and use similar tactics to control the ruck ourselves.

There is an expected bitter tone from Simmons. However I believe he's a good coach. Kept a injury ridden saints in the title race, credit where credits due.

That is not the real transcript to be fair. He was very dejected in the press conference, but he would be after that. He did mention about us slowing it down but also conceded we did it better than them. He wasn't complaing about us slowing the play down he was more peed off that we did it better than them.
