To be honest, I think his red cards came simply from a lack of confidence and trying to hard to improve. He clearly wanted to be successful here, which nobody could doubt, but when every man and his dog started getting on his back, it started going wrong for him. I don't blame him for feeling a bit bitter, but its unproffessional to stick the v's up at the crowd, I don't think much of him now tbh.

Mathers has denied it on Twitter. Laughable

I have always thought Mathers was up himself after seeing him in Australia when he was with the Gold Coast, he was strutting around Wet n Wild water park in his speedos with Danny Mcguire thinking he was the dogs . Shown his true colours on Saturday!!

Personally, I didn't see Mathers do it. I saw Myler make a gesture, but I didn't realise it was a V sign. If it was, he certainly needs telling by someone.

I was stood just left of the sticks but didnt see mathers do the v sign but saw the ball go into the crowd like calderwood when he played for leeds.

Almost as overhyped as Andrew Johns' 4-match deal, which actually turned out to be less even than that, but probably still cost more than Myler's 4 years.
