As I said on VT, it's an idea to generate extra support because a game against Harelquins is unappealing, unexciting and boring. Plus, you bring no away support.

Proper supporters will go mainly to watch their own team. Perhaps it's your own team that's unappealing?

We had to do something similar when we played you last year too.



The 10,000 ''proper supporter'' season ticket holders will be there, it's aimed at non-season ticket holders and those who select certain games through out the year who don't find fixtures v Harlequins appealing or exciting enough to depart money for, plus an opportunity to give free tickets to people and businesses who may have not sampled Rugby League to maybe start watching and maybe purchase tickets/corporate boxes/sponsorship in the future.

Like last year against you, they'd understand Wigan are playing a small, low-key club with little support and poor form in the League but would see potential in bigger games and through out the season in general. You might even play well or have better form than us at that point in the season which would be a bonus.
