His recent spouting has really made my blood boil - although the title given it by the journo probably didnt help - so much so that I have sent the following letter to the zaminer, and asked for it to be printed in the letters page.

There has been much said regarding the stadium share issue over the last few weeks. Following Mr Kings recent statement I feel obliged to write this letter.

In his recent statement printed in the examiner Mr King is quoted as saying "We want what is best for ALL parties who use the stadium. That is both Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants."

As a Huddersfield Giants supporter myself I am annoyed that Mr King feels he knows whats best and speaks for me. I would like to state that I personally do not believe the campaign he is backing is in my best interests. I also know of many other Giants supporters who do not wish to be associated with this campaign. Furthermore despite his frequent statements I have yet to know of a particular Huddersfield Giants supporter who backs Mr Kings campaign - and I'm willing to bet I speak to more Giants supporters on a regular basis than Mr King.

I also doubt that the solitary person sporting the lime green duster associated with this campaign, who turned up at the Giants v Widnes game shouting abuse about Mr Davy, did much to align the Giants fans who witnessed his behaviour to the cause.

One thing seems clear to me. Both sets of fans would like the situation to be settled, - if only so that the focus on the stadium can be on what happens on the pitch. One set of fans seem content to let the parties involved come to an agreement in a private business arrangement - after all they are adults. A section of the other set of fans seem to want to interfere in the process. To me only one seems in the best interests of sport in Huddersfield.
