So far, Ryan has been touted as signing for every SL team - except maybe Catalans. (doesn't like snails & frogs' legs!) He says he is happy at Leigh, and wants to try and get them into SL. If we fail to do that this season, well he's out of contract at the end of 2016. Any club wanting him now will have to fork out big time. Also, I'm not convinced he is ready for SL yet.



The reason he didn't play yesterday? He was rested as our coach wrestles with fitting three half backs into two places. Watch out for Ridyard or Chase being rested next week - then the rumours about them will start.



Incidentally, I would have thought Leeds had greater need of a half back than you guys - although I doubt he would go there, and end up in the Championship again in 2017!

Brough has been carrying injuries for a long time. When you are younger they are easier to manage.



AS you get older there is no other alternative than rest. Also when you get a knock it takes longer to get over. Brough is 33. He is not young . He is not finished but his time is coming particularly the way he plays. He is another brave player like Robbo. He needs to be protected from himself otherwise he will reduce his career length. That is why i said he should retire from playing for Scotland.



Robinson was a complete crock last season and had a discussion with Anderson about retiring before last season ended.



Why we went into the current season with him is beyond me.



I am not certain about Brierley But he does have some of the skill set we need.



As long as he is playing with another organiser at half back he is worth a punt.

Agree we need to be looking for a replacement for Brough,the years catching up like Robbo.

Interesting that he said on Sky that he gas been in pain the last two seasons. Never good business sense to give more that a years contract to the battle worn over 30 players. Maybe Thewlis could explain? As the injured still need paying for non game time.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brough retries from international duty after this years 4 Nations, but yes he isn't getting any younger. I think we might be trying to beat the rush for Brierley by bidding now, hes in his last year of his contract so Leigh may well be happier to recieve something now rather than nothing later.
