More to life than RL Mo, Paul's shoulders were/are nackered and with 2 babies on the way he re-evaluated his life. Since then he's been 2nd in command so not sure where you say there was no obvious job. Apart from the loss to Gateshead at home (who subsequently beat Fax) Paul's defeats have come away from home which is what most teams do. I think we have 5 home games left which is the time to judge him with a team he never chose.

How many times have we heard that old chestnut in the last 3 or more years. A good coach makes the best of what he as got a la what Mr Millward did for us when he came. I can only see 3 winnable games, which actually may be enough, whether we can pick up bonus points in the others remains to be seen. But as I have said elsewhere it boils down to whether Batley or Gateshead can win one more game than us in the run in.



The results yesterday were not just shocks, they were either unfortunate shocks or convenient shocks depending on how much you love the RFL

you are wrong there Derek, Milward only started to do something AFTER he got his own players in, as did Terzis and Ste is right you cant make chicken soup out of chicken £ any REASONABLE person would acnowledge that.

Only problem being Fred you dont get many REASONABLE people on here

It did always make me tickle when people stated Ian took the team of 98 to the top of 99. Whilst I'd never knock Basil in fact I'd roll the red carpet out for him if/when he returns he certainly didnt take the same 98 squad to the top in 99.

The fight to stay up should have started when we got outplayed by Gateshead, it didn't.



Its time for our directors /exec , players and coaching staff to come to the plate and really give it 150% , either that or come out and tell us the real truth as why Leigh are being outbid for players and outfought on the pitch by clubs such as Batley, Gateshead etc, etc.



Facts don't lie, we ARE going down if we carry on playing like this, a shocking run of results (whoever has been the coach) and I don't think anyone who follows Leigh could argue that we don't deserve to go down.

We are truelly awful on & off the pitch, its those things that MUST change immediately.

How does a "big" NL1 club fall behind just about everyone of its 'competitiors' in that league so quickly



The 'board' owe the fans that explanation at the very least.

I certainly don't remember Ian having as big a chequebook to spend as Tony Benson (for example).

Ian brought a feelgood factor to the club (on & off the pitch) and created a "team" spirit , fans & players (largely) believed in him and his record at Leigh showed him to be a class coach (the away win at Keighley being the turning point in Leighs history IMO, Hammered 1st half playing down the hill we won the 2nd half playing up it - Keighley then being a far better team than Leigh).

However Ian arrived a unknown and not as a ex player with Dad on "the board" so Pauls on a real hiding to nothing and will always be up against it in the way the (many) other unknown coaches we've had havn't been.

Thats easy to answer ..the board are gutless and unwilling to take chances

on bringing decent players into the club because of not wanting to spend

unlike other clubs also they have brought in very poor players in key positions and even worse they have signed one of the worst on another contract for next season...

Too many young players in the team brought in far too early in a penny pinchin exercise in my opinion...

Naynn has done nothing since he signed,and Castle saying at he's only 23 cant do any longer than 10min max! doesn't say much for his fitness.



You moan that the have a team full of young lads at are not ready but when they have been playing well in the 21s you want them in the 1st team. Make your mind up.

The Teams not that young, watson, mado, stewart, donalon, nanynn, alstead, hobbo, smith, jock, armisted, their not that young!

I wouldnt be so hasty in saying we wont spend money, watch this space!
