It is not hard in 7/9's to run up scores like that once one team is chasing scores they tend to lose possesion very easily |

The Leigh players and coaches seemed to enjoy it on Saturday night.   Maybe a few of the players weren't 100% on Sunday morning? |

Although the Fylde day went reasonably well it added hardly anyone to the stadium to watch the 9s finals due to logistics of geting from one venue to another. Both 9s finals were played in front of a couple of hundred fans at best wouldn`t surprise me if some 9s fans missed the finals as we left Fylde before the matches finished traveled quickly by car and only just got there before the 9s plate final started.
I think if they run this comp next year they need to learn a few lessons .Especially the takeing care that there are better facilities for the players and not bother trying to force people into a 2 day event.
I enjoyed the weekend as the weather was nice. I asked Nigel Woods "how come the 9s dinner due to be held Sat night was cancelled with 4 days notice" He replied he did not know it had been but would make enquiries. |
