I don't think why people have suddenly expected him to be busting tackles anyroad, as that's never been his game (read his interview the programme from the Widnes game as proof)

C Hill is the only forward Leigh have who at this present time is good enough to move up a level thats a fact !!!

I might be stupid Mr S Ass but if anyone thinks Armistead is class

i give up Over the years Leigh have had some great line busting forwards

who where also great defensively ,look at this present line up apart from Hill / Higson / McConnell nobody looks capable of hitting the line hard

and making a opening Armistead is tackled to easy his defensive at times

is poor and in my opinion if he,s been our best forward we are in dire trouble its alright being the best forward playing Div 2 last season wi Barrow but its a differant ball game in this league the only thing is like i stated earlier he looks unfit and maybe just maybe if he gets to a higher standard of fitness his game will come on . But if people like you think he,s our best forward the rest must be pretty baaaddddddd

He shows plenty of effort and try,s really hard but its to easy to read his game and he,s defo not a second row forward with the style of RL he plays

i could go on and on , whoever was in charge of recuirtment for this season should have been fired off long ago, i cant believe how far backward we have gone rugby wise couple years ago we where playing great attacking rugby scoring plenty points with a good defense look at the points for and against this season if you and other on this board are happy watching stuff like we saw on Thursay nite i give up, the games

hope this Aussie S/ Off has some pace to inject a bit of life into the team

its like watching 13 strangers playing half the time, I have never been a fan of Watson but this season he has been outstanding and without him

we would be in the bottom 4 of this Div no doubt about it !!!

And, once again, if you're expecting Armistead to break through the line then you've got the wrong bloke. We've got a very skillful and able back rower in Armistead who, when utilised properly, is a very dangerous player, as he showed prior to his injury. Trouble is, there is no support for the fella to offload just before impact and, as previously mentioned, he's not the type of player to bust through tackles.

I've seen most of Armistead's performances this season and at times he looks too good for Leigh. Most of the players can't read what he's going to do and don't support him. He's a quality player and often made to look a bit of a mug by the duffers playing alongside him.

Most leigh fans are clueless no need to sxplain proper rugby fans will know why armistead is our best forward he is awesome for the reasons i have already put i cant belive some people CLUELESS the game has moved on from 1960 people

Armistead not our best forward.... FACT ( chris hill). Armistead our second best forward.. MAYBE. However, very unfit at the moment and seems too miss a few tackles. JUst shows how good our forwards are tbh.

not a fact at all tell me were chris hill looks to get the offload NEVER tell me when c.hill looks to hit the dewck quick NEVER always trys to wrestle for the unnesacery 2 more yard Armistead is better even though C.Hill is a very good player

Exactly why the pair of them are in the same team. Dave is an offload merchant and Chris is a yards merchant. We need the pair and when the both of them have blinders we will crucifi somebody.

Chris Hill is probably our second highest offloaded, a number of times this season has he got it away to Jock who has looked to expose the gaps. He's probably made by far the most yards in the team as well.

But you aren't comparing like for like, as whenever Armistead is in the front row he's playing out of position. It's like saying Watson is a better back than Alstead.
