Can't we just market it as the World Club Champions are in town? Plenty or Cherry and White and Blue and Yellow, as for advertising the club shouldn't be relying on a couple of fans making Facebook 'events' which I'm not sure actually attract any more fns than normal, its always just the same people 'attending'. The idea of having players from '71 is a good one though, I'm sure uts the first thing everyone thought of as soon as the draw was made.



The club has to push the boat out a little bit, its too big of an opportunity to balls up.

But a cherry and white day, you might as well not bother marketing at all?



Do 70's, link it in with our most famous day ever, against the same team, in the same competition.



I've already found 70s sunglasses at 99p each, Ste's already got 100s of red and white wigs, sell both at £4 or £5 each, everyones still in cherry and white.

Jonny i think you are going overboard with all this Nostalgia , even delving into the "Realms of Fantasy ", i was there in 1971 , and would love a similar result , but 70s fashion and style

it WONT happen , you may get a couple doing it , as its been tried before , as Jimmy 85 says in a previous post , its the same people all the time , fair play to you lad for being enthusiastic , but for me i will treat the game as a chance to see the World Club Champions ,not 71 revisited .

Use the '71 angle to our advantage - every dog has it's day etc - but sod the dressing up, let's just get the place covered in cherry and white.

Could get two sets of dancing groups in - one from Leigh, one from Leeds and have Parky and Ronnie having a 'dance off' or summat.
