That has made a massive difference - took the destiny out of our own hands

And to think we went to Barrow not long ago and got absolutely hammered. That result and the one at Halifax have really cos us dear in terms of points difference.

I understand that I was merely making the point to back up an earlier statement about our points difference.

....but if in one of those games (or indeed we picked up a bonus point) destiny would still be in our own hands.



But I guess that Batley and Gateshead could say that for one of their losses which did not yield a bonus point

If I could pinpoint a few key things, it would be those 2 hammerings, a 15 minute first half spell at home to Batley, and Watsons injury at home to Barrow.



Thats 4 more points to the total and a points 'credit'of maybe 100.

The biggest pointer to our failings this year is our abject failure to put Doncaster to the sword a few weeks back

The lack of bonus points has also cost us. Sheffield have lost 9 games but got 9 bonus points.



If we'd done that we'd have been top 6

scorers by a big margin



If you cannot score , you lose , we had easily enough possession and position to win on monday , but we could not convert that into points



Hence why we are where we are , at this moment we are the 2 nd worse team in the comp

Yet our 5 BP's is better than:-



Barrow, Halifax and Batley (4); Toulouse and Whitehaven (3); Gateshead (1) and Featherstone - amazingly (0) - according to the RFL website.

But we do have 5 BP which is n`t too bad..........I`d ve much preferred a few more wins but you can`t have everything.........
