Thing is...if people (like me) stop moaning about how much we hate the system...then the RFL are more likely to keep it

In 2015 they'll go to 16 clubs (imho) so you really ought to knuckle down and get on with it. You've been whining for 3 years now while Widnes, Fax and Barrow have all passed you by and done what was required (not enough but still more than you's in Barrows case)

think thursday is massive for leigh now! we need to carry on performing like we have been doing so far. we'll be able to tell by the attendence if we will move forward as a club. anything under 2 and were snookered imo

I think that's debatable in off-field terms but agree when it comes to what happens on the field - hopefully we can continue our current form and rectify that this season.

Its true that winning the GF doesnt guarantee you promotion but to say 'its all about the stadiums and not on the field' is garbage otherwise you'd be in and Barrow and Widnes would be sat there doing nothing. Okay Widnes were the obvious franchise choice but you lot didnt even do enough on the field to qualify.

It's flipped the wrong way though - you should only be assessed once you've actually won a Grand Final. Promoting a side who hasn't even reached one, never mind won it, is all wrong as far as I'm concerned.

I can see why they did it though. It added some great credibility to the NRC.

The system is flawed but for me it was the right balance between credibility and having a few applicants to choose from.

FWIW I wish they'd come out and make an announcement about this years trophies, even with a reshuffled Chp this year should allow teams to qualify for next time unless there are some mad radical changes on the cards to how the system works

They didn't do anything ater winning the NRC with a full compliment of good quality loan players, finished 4th that year, 5th last year. Who knows where this year, is it even worth including their results in the league table.
