It's a shame that Sam tomkns appears to have been shifted from stand off to fullback to accommodate an import.

Why?....He is as effective at full back as he was at stand off....To be fair, in modern rugby league, numbers 1, 6, 7, 9 and 13 all do pretty much the same job, barring the odd technical difference....For example,a loose forward requires a little bit of muscle for his defensive duties, whilst a full back will obviously need to be a solid and dependable tackler when required, which Tomkins appears to be.



For attacking purposes though, all 5 positions contribute in a positive way, so whether from stand off or full back, Tomkins will be a threat.

And yet another thread turns in a boring Wire/Wigan dick measuring contest.

Well, with the thread title it was unlikely to go any other way.....To be honest, its been quite well-behaved and dignified up to now.

As a Leeds fan I think wire are the team this season. I think you will finish top. Who knows with the play off's?

Well it's not even that is it? I totally appreciate the failings of my own club. It just backs up the tread title. The pies go off at the first suggestion that their club is anything but infallible. This after they produce a few kids who they keep for a change and have one good season in years.
