i lay in my sick bed last night recovering from the dreaded man flu and i tried... i REALLY tried to watch and enjoy that England v Fiji game... But alas, i couldn't... it was absolute turd.

I wonder who will speak at the next RL world cup? The chuckle brothers diary must be pretty clear.

There was an amazing number of royal family and associated hangers on at last nights game. Likewise Wimbledon. Now it may well be that they like rugby union and tennis. However, if that's the case, they should be queuing and paying for their seats in the same way that other fans do. On the other hand if they are there on business, to represent the monarchy, they should also have a presence at premier rugby league events.

One aspect of Union I like is the lack of the formulaic plays which have ruined League. It is unpredictable. Plus some of the contact is heavier than league. Contested scrums too add something. The rest of it you can keep.



Marketed and ran superbly. League would do anything to have an international game half that of union.

I work with someone who tried to buy two tickets for a South Africa game, £248, for the two, standard seats too.

Certainly if Royal patronage is going to take place it should be spread across the whole sporting spectrum, otherwise it looks very biased.

Guy at work paid £150 each for 5 England/Fiji tickets - the true definition of "more money than sense"
