| Quote chapylad="chapylad"To be fair I was at the game and thought he favoured Wire.
I also thought the VR should have cancelled out Westwoods try and should not have cancelled out the Leeds try that Kylie allegedly obstructed a Wire player.
For me Kylie did not stop the defender nor did he make contact so try every time.
But no doubt if I watched from the comfort of my lounge I would probably have a different view.
[iOut of interest who do the Wakefield fans blame every Monday?[/i
The RL for letting them stay in SL maybe.'"
Ashley Klein, i think they have started a petition.

| As a Leeds resident I would back up lionarmour, to say that the Leeds accent is that broad Yorkshire 'thee or tha' is like saying the Manchester accent is like Paddy McGuinness or Vernon Kay. The Leeds accent is like Garry Schofield or Ellery Hanley.
Also what lionarmour says about being more cosmopolitan is true, although Leeds isn't exactly London. A lot of the smaller towns in Yorkshire that people make fun of as being inbred are basically the same communities that they have been for centuries, people that 'make it' in life might leave but nobody moves there, whereas Leeds is a place outsiders move to like I did.
Leeds is also a far better and more interesting city to live in than Warrington. Warrington centre feels like it's dominated by young chavs, teenagers and booze Britain, Leeds has its fair share of neanderthals but there's also a lot more class to it than you get in Warrington.

Your comment about Warringtons town centre residents betrays your ignorance.
Warrington is a huge place and much more than the town centre.
However as I found myself this weekend Leeds is an interesting place to visit, and the fish market is worth a look.
But it's also full of chavs and nerdowells like most towns in our fair land.

| I'd say Warrington town centre is dominated too much by clubs and bars than it is by Chavs.
Also, I know a few people from Leeds who do use words like "tha", "mesen", etc.
Just like I know people from Warrington who have a slightly scouse accent, others from Warrington who have a slightly manc accent, accents are traits you pick up from those around you and considering Leeds is this 'cosmopolitan' place that people move towards it would be ridiculous to suggest that there is only 'one true accent'. The same is true for any given town or city.
Another example is people from St Helens, a lot I know have what we'd probably call "wooleyback" or "generic lancashire" accents, and yet there are others I know who sound like they're out & out scousers.

Unfortunately, there are no towns or cities in this fair land that are free from the blight of the lesser spotted Chav.

| Look I have nothing against Wire fans at all ..Indeed my perception of them changed after the 2010 CCFINAL.I and my group were applauded onto our coach by Wire fans after we had been mullered, not may other club fans would do that, thankyou. Now I live over sea's ,but I am a born and bred loiner and I do know that anyone that speaks tha and thee !Cannot have been born in Leeds ,unless people from the old mining area's 3rd generation ?who know's ,but last time I worked in Kippax ,or even Rothwell 1994 they were still Cas and Wakey ,but they spoke the "mining dialect".The op did not hear a Leeds person say "tha"

| Getting upset at a Leeds fan's review of a Leeds ganme, or a Leeds site review of the same is pretty silly. When I was younger, every try scored against leeds was down to our poor defence, and every try we scored was down to the quality of our play. It took me years to admit that, just occasionally, opposition players might be 'quite good', or even 'ever so slightly better than' their opposites for Leeds.
If you've ever read Fever Pitch and Hornby describing how annoyed he'd get when his dad praised the opposition, that was me and my dad to a tee.
