There was no atmosphere today for several reasons, two of which were that the team were flat on the pitch and there was no oppostion support. Often the crowd feeds off the away crowd and there was nothing there today. It's a sad time if we accept that we need a kid with a drum to create an atmosphere. I much prefer the sound of the crowd over the boring beat of a drum. Today there was neither for large parts of the game, but when we did get behind the lads it was loud and spontaneous, inspired by the action - as it should be.

doesnt matter if the game is bad i have been to games vs saints where the game has been as flat as a pancake but the fans got behind the team, this needs to be sorted as today was shocking

There was no atmosphere because there were no opposition fans to go against and the action wasn't always inspiring. If you want to play a drum go play in a band. We didn't have drums at Wilderspool.

I thought the South Stand was home to the greatest, noisiest and biggest clique the world has ever seen? The clique that the whole country wants to be a part of, the clique that everyone wants to know where they will be during the game.

Ah, just realised that I have wasted my money for years. The team only win if the South Stand cheer and bang drums so the rest of us may as well save our cash and watch/ listen at home. I could have saved a fortune over the years with that gem of information. Cheers pal!

So you have gone from the south stand being full of "silent glory supporters" to this, make your mind up the atmosphere was flat today becasue we was playing Catalan, it was the same against quins tbh it's hard to sing and have banter with away fans when there is none there.
