Think he is now 20 and an out and out 2nd rower. Currently with Leigh as you will probably know, is a regular and has scored quite a few tries for them as well as being MOM on at least 2 occasions. The Leythers really like him, he is strong, hard working and difficult to stop close to the line.

If you are really getting him, it will be interesting to see how he steps up to SL, but I would be very surprised if he disappoints.

Oh, I forgot to say, Saddened is convinced Saints are going to sign him up . I suppose anything is possible, but would be surprised.

I'm not convinced, there are just rumours we've signed a Warrington academy back rower. Could be anyone, could be completely untrue.

It might be Paul Wood. Again.

We definitely had interest in both Laithwaite and Currie. Don't know if anything has come of it as of yet.

I'd be gutted if Currie went on anything other than a loan. I’m not one to overhype youngsters but this lad

I don't think we will, but stranger things have happened. There are so many variables in this day and age that could cause a player to move clubs.



I read yesterday on an Aussie forum for example that you and Wigan are in talks with Penrith about securing a release for Michael Jennings. That kind of transfer would need some adjustment to accomodate no doubt. You've also got an embarassment of riches in terms of squad depth, so you will fall foul of that soon enough. Every upwardly mobile team goes through it, you become established and suddenly the players and their agents demand more than they had previously and it becomes difficult to sustain. Wire are rumoured to have signed Bateman, again, with serious interest from other clubs he's not going to be cheap.



Put it this way, I don't think Warrington are going to be able to maintain the quality of player you have in the number you have. I'm not saying we'll sign Currie, it's very unlikely, but I wouldn't be surprised if you miss out a player or two because other clubs have more cap room and holes in their squad that the Wire don't have.

You really shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers. Out of all Warrington's current players I would imagine that Ben Currie would be the last allowed to leave.



As for the Warrington second row Saints are likely to sign then I'd put money on Jack Cooper being the player "falling" into this category.
