Wigan want to change the salary cap structure, because it doesn't work for them. It's incredible how Bradford, Leeds and Saints have made such a useless, oppressive sytem work for them, isn't it?



Surely it can't be a case of financial mis-management at Wigan creating this horrendous situation? I mean, their team has been littered with home grown players since the introduction of the SC, it isn't as if they have forked out a massive transfer fee on a player and paid him a corresponding salary.



The salary cap doesn't work, the salary cap doesn't work!



Convenient truths ignored by Wiganers:



RU becoming (openly) professional. The opportunity to sign top RU players has long since gone.



Orientation of the game heading towards defence. Fifteen stone wingers who can cart down the middle. Centres who can play in the back row and vice versa. The opportunity for creative, flair players has diminished as the game is almost all about minimising errors.



The simple fact is the game has changed, but people can't see that through their rose tinted spectacles.



It is funny how Wiganers want the cap changing to a percentage of turnover; it isnlt as if they have ever played around with figures when it comes to salary cap auditing, is it.



One thing that is a good idea is dispensation for players brought throught through the Service Area/Academy. That is well worth introducing.

after his 2 perfomances against wigan i would think his value has gone down his defence is woefull and he was targeted in both matches sorry 2 say but he aint has good has is agent is making out come on and slag me off and call me but sorry he aint all that

Agree. Defence is poor, kicking game is average, great backing up and can finish a try - not sure that makes a world class scrum half.



Still has a lot to learn, but put him in a good side and he could be a world beater. At the moment he gets the full attention of the opposition as Salford have little less to offer.



You are right though, his agent has built his part up much more than he deserves.

None of these so called big clubs were willing to chance their arm when he was at Widnes. Was Offiah saying that Widnes should be paying him a kings ransom? Salford have given him the chance to develop at SL level. He has time on his side and I think he will develop quicker here because he'll get more game time. Look at Tomkins at Wigan. I think he's 21 but in and out of the side. The same with Ainscough. He's not played since he scored the 4 against us.

myler hasn't played well the last 3 games, against bradford he didn't play that well, even though he created 2 tries, and both games against wigan. Whether the England call up and all the hype surrounding him is effecting him, i dont know, but i hope he turns it around sooner rather than later because when he clicks, the whole team does!

hull fc came in for myler last season, but his parents didn't want him relocate at such a young age (awaits all the hull is a dump replies)
