Havn't had time to read throught the thread, but a mate at work who is close to people inside Stockport County told me that Sale Sharks will become 'North West Sharks' in an attempt to become a bigger brand. They will base themselves in Salford and play games around the region.
Hope they fall flat on their faces. |

Pev doesn't mention Population , I guess just prestige? the office of National Statistics list Manchester the 3rd most popular City after London & Edinburgh.

North West Sharks sounds rubbish , I guess they cannot use the 'Manchester' tag , as Manchester RUFC formed earlier than Sale in 1860 would be unimpressed . |
