He grates a bit but is pretty good at what he does, his voice is synonymous with the big events these days.



Our bloke at Warrington is decent and did a good job of the Italy warm up, although I have still not forgiven him for announcing in round 26 last year that Hull KR had beaten Wigan at Craven "Cottage".

Chris Melling at London was known as Curtis after the Bradford announcer renamed him!

I'm not that bothered but thought he was naff at Wembley. Every sentence started "And now...!"

The one at the KC annoys me!

They all get on my nerves.

With regards to Saturday just gone, every time I have been to Wembley I've thought the sound system has been absolutely awful!

The guy at Warrington was so embarrassing when announcing the Samoa and Fiji teams, obviously didn't know who they were and didn't do any homework on the pronuciations beforehand.

The Warrington bloke is annoying. I think it was him who used to announce Graham Appo like a right nob back in the day. Used to drive me insane!!

Pete Emmet at Halifax IMO is a great pa announcer. really funny and you can understand him which always helps.

Got to agree. Its also the worst stadium I have ever been to for concerts. The sound gets lost.

Most of these announcers usually come from the 'local radio DJ' mould - a species of human that can only ever speak in hyperbole.



Having listened to Radio Aire, we could do a hell of a lot worse.
