Briscoe and Hall should be the wingers for me.

Charnley should be included in the England set up as a portable turnstile for each stadium to use as they wish.

At least he'll have a nice time in London.

I would worry that after a season in the centres, J Tomkins wouldn’t have the size or current style of game to compete internationally in the pack. Added to that, I think Westerman is a little lightweight for international football



That pack would look a fair bit stronger with Sam Burgess and Gareth Ellis available wouldn’t it – you could interchange those two with Westwood in the second row and Mossop, Carvell, Graham and Peacock in the front row



Without Ellis and Burgess, I would add Ben Harrison for some size in the back row

How big does Joel Tomkins have to be?!

if he opted to play for England, he'd still be eligible for origin though right? i'm thinking back to Adrian Lam

Burgess not being picked in the Leeds team had little to do with his form and more to do with the dumbo who picks the team, his form prior to being dropped was excellent and he was without doubt our best forward, and I know him playing better than the other forwards isn't exactly a great achievement given some of our performances but he was actually very good.

This series is probably too soon, but Scott Taylor will be in and around the national squad sooner rather then later.

Joe Westerman is looking better and better too. Hopefully the play offs will showcase him a bit more

I assume that the laugh and the stupid little icon are for my benefit for saying that Tomkins doesn’t have the size for international rugby?



Tompkins may be 6’3” and 15 stone but for me he doesn’t have the physical presence to be a top quality international forward. If he has the size then he doesn’t run his weight well enough and I fear that after a season in the centres that will be even more the case



He is a good player though and may well have found his home in the centres where I believe he could be the English version of Shaun Kenny-Dowall as a very rangy strong centre
