If I lived in widnes I'd never go to their staduim, what's the point? St helens ad Warrington are with in 10 miles! It's 20 mins away I've waited in nightclub queues longer!

I'm sure there's good enough public transport for the lonely alcoholics who like a drink at the game.

widnes dont need to waste anymore money on satisfying the franchise criteria so basically are treading water till their entry into SL.

I'm not having a go at Widnes or commenting on what might have been if Barrow had gone up (like you, i don't have a crystal ball). I'm merely commenting on how great the system is down here that you have a club sleepwalking to SL for two years (although i do think they'll start recruiting next year). Mind you, it's only The Championships and they really don't matter a jot in the grand sceme of things.

And for those that are seemingly thinking it is 'worrying times' (LMAO) for our franchise bid, our league attendances are still (despite having little to play for, and recent poor performances) around the 3000 mark. ALL clubs in the Championship would kill for those figures, and so would some Super League clubs on occasions this year.



Someone posted that Widnes fans seem to be wanting SL or nothing at all. There is a smidge of truth in that, IMO, but a good run to the NRC Final will perk things up again nicely in advance of a fantastic SL Licence bid.

He didnt say that they folded. He said they failed. In South Wales, they FAILED. For what its worth, IMO, they will fail in N Wales too.



The scorpions should be allowed to grow organically, rather than being thrown into the spotlight like Crusaders were. The Scorpions will be all the stronger for it, if they survive.
