Similar thing happened with a collie at a leeds v fax cup game in the late 70s. IIRC it spent about 3/4s of the game on the pitch, eluding periodic attempts by players and ref to catch it. I think the game was being screened live on grandstand.

That was hilarious that

I saw John Harrison head the ball over the try line, and George Mann pounce on it, the referee awarded the try. First time ever saw such a move, and the last time as the RFL outlawed it.



Seen players have a piddle whilst the game is going on, Gilmour did it a few weeks back at Knowsley Road actualy.



Watched a huge slice of the room lift off, and land into the pitch like a spear, again at Knowsley Road, it was very close to spearing Gary Mercer, the game was called off at this point.



Of course seen many naked folks on the pitch, or the not so brave ones who go on semi naked. Or a pitch invader with a sign announcing his love for his lady and would she marry him.



A dog at headingley, and as Ray french said "why oh why oh why do people bring dogs to rugby matches"
