Jake the Peg:
You need to follow the lead of leeds and Hull who have both appointed experienced NRL coaches but also new DOR's who actually know what they're doing recruitment wise, and then let them get on with their jobs with no interference - easy at Hull where the owner is the father in law of the DOR (although now CEO but still doing the DOR job).
No surprise both clubs are on an upward trajectory.
Appointing burgess was always going to be a big gamble, which rarely pay off
In contrast we have an inexperienced rookie head coach, an inexperienced DoR (who has no pro RL experience outside of Warrington), and a CEO that started life as a volunteer player welfare officer.
