As I remember it the Hudds player was bent over and driving his legs and the Bradford player responsible was already in contact. It was a kind of rabbit punch aimed either at the midriff of the player or the ball.



Unfortunately for O'Donnell he had to run ten metres to react so his act was far more conspicuous. It's not all that unusual for the reaction to be punished more than the provocation though.
