I thought Halley had gone well for you at fb.



Kearney is good.....when he plays. He has had some extended periods out due to injury. While cheap I would not think it the best use of an overseas slot.

doubt we'd use him at FB. played in halves earlier in his career and I'd imagine thats where we're looking at using him. Providing we can keep him fit its a decent enough signing.

Halley is staying put at full back for me

It is certainly an interesting signing. If you want a half back it seems risky to go for someone who is injury prone and has not played in the position at first grade level for several years. Given the importance of the role and the limitations on overseas players it shows a willingness to take risks at the Bulls.

Or desperation maybe.

But when/after the season we have just had it's worth the risk to try a player like Kearney in the halves.



I think he still has a lot to offer and from what I've seen of him when he has played it's been good stuff.

Spent half of his career injured, played about 70 games in 6 seasons, a less than average half back, no better than Halley as a FB, Overseas quota player - A poor signing if true.



If it is true then it's back to FB for Platty, Halley bunged on the wing, Kearney at 6, Deacs at 7 and out of the window with my Sykes suggestion.
