I do wonder if we are too clingy to the old guard.
For a team that needs fresh ideas having so many old heads knocking about, does concern me. It's one thing to be a great player, another to be a great coach.

Quite, KC is clearly not doing a great job with our forwards.
I still think we should send Perry, Lafranchi and Lance to rochdale till they decide they want to play for us |

Wellens in discussion with EMcM regarding a coaching position also. It won't be as sprint coach.
It's difficult for any new ideas to propagate in the midst of an old boys association.
Potter , Royce and now Brown are finding that. |

it is pretty embarrassing no matter what injuries we have surely we shouldnt be getting beaten by the likes of hkr widnes and london. cant ever remember a time going to every game not expecting us to win. I dont think were going to make the playoffs this season.

Yep, of all the past legends Longy was deemed to be the better bet as a potential superleague coach.
Maybe he gets in trouble with the Wigoons tries his hand at Widnes then Saints sign him up.

You sound exactly like me when Bulls lost at home to Warrington under McTomato - total humiliation and no effort. I did cut up my season ticket and did not return until Hood and co disappeared. Unfortunately - as history showed - the damage was deep and long lasting. At least 3000 others did the same and like me - find other things to do - but rarely go back. This represents a huge revenue loss to a club and leads to a cycle of decline as quality players cost money to retain and attract.
Would not wish this on any fan - as we have no control or influence on any of it. You have three choices - turn up, pay up and shout, don't turn up and quit - or invest all your money and become a director.. Not good eh?
Must admit - I never expected to see this stuff happening at Saints - you can only hope you have a better Captain than Bulls did! |
