Excellent all round team performance today. To be honest difficult to single out a man of the match. Agree that Gaz Wheeler had a blinder, hope his injury from going over the hoardings wasn't too bad at least he came back on.



They had to withstand a good deal of pressure too and generally defended very well.



TP was much improved and made some ground, Flannery grafted well. Roby made excellent yards, KC caused havoc running from dummy half especially late on and Jammer was fantastic. Kyle looks more the part as the weeks go by.Everybody played their part from 1-17.





All in all an encouraging display and good to see a good following over the penines to witness probably our most complete performance year to date.



Sets things up nicely for Friday.

We are without doubt now playing the brand of football we are accustomed to.

I was thinking more of the three that Ray said Hallibut spotted which were played by Huddersfield at times when they were in for a try.

Clash of heads in the tackle. Got sparked out and had to be helpped off. Came to the Saints end after the game to share the plaudits, so hopefully not too bad a knock.

Wheeler was the real hero by all accounts. Shin gashed to the bone, internal and external stiches, back on for the lastfifteen minutes. True grit.

Best performance of the season we looked in control from the first 5 mins.



Great team performance with Wheeler superb, Tony P and Jammer were superb upfront and kyle just get's better and better.

Ridiculous to think of some of the postings after Saint Helens lost a game played in the fog.

Mick Potter does seem to be managing the transition,injuries and nurturing the youngsters slightly better than your friends at Headingley.

A common misconception that fans were a bit disruntled after one game against Hull. It was much more to do with the style of play over a period of time that had seen us not run up more than 15 pts in a game since July 2009. Thankfully it does not seem to have been resolved and we are once again playing in a style we are accustomed to.

I thought we were fantastic today!!!



We had almost total control over a team that not long ago destroyed Wakey. Our go forward was outstanding and our defence looked as good as i can remember. Talk about winning the collision! The Giants forward were getting hammered all game.



The ref was just Bizzare!!! I am not saying all the penalites against us were not deserved but it would be nice if he treated the two sides the same. Take the two short kick offs. On the first Gidley was penalised for tackling in the air when they were both going for the ball, fair enough if thats his interpretation. The very next kick off the exact same happens and gardner gets flattened....Play on. You had to laugh!!!



Can anyone tell me why Kyle's try was disallowed? the one following the Flannery break. I could not undertand what the ref was signalling. Great game and great support there, Our end was full it was good to see.



Come on boys lets have more of the same on friday and give this new world beating superstar Wigan side a good test, lets see if they crack!!!
