If Eastmond is only interested in money - despite not yet having developed a worth for it - then he's probably not the right man for the job anyway.



But a decision needs to arrive - sooner rather than later.

Saints should not break the bank as we no he has potential but he's not commanded any games for us yet



Yes a few bits of magic here and there but not as good as say young Tompkins yet



And if he does not sign a contract we should look to someone else for next year and let him play reserve rugby (little upstart)

The RFL and clubs need to come up with some sort of initative to save the young British players being poaching i.e Myler & Ashton at Northampton and Smith at Wasps...

As gut wrenching as it seems, its folly to throw stupid money at him when he's still unproven, regardless of his potential. If a RU club (many of whom are reportadly struggling financially) want to spend extra to poach the odd talent, then let them. There'll be another Kyle eastmond.

I would be relatively happy with Moore at 7 for a season, before moving to 9 when the King goes. Eastmond certainly can't play any important role within the team if he's on his way. Moore has also yet to commit beyond 2010 though...

I really don't know what the fuss is, it's just an agent trying to get the best deal for his client. The agent is good at getting made up stories into the MEN and spreading rumours. That's his job. I'm sure McManus is wise to this sort of thing.



I really don't know why people get upset about these things. It will only get more so in the future as more agents become more media savvy.

It's Wigooners wanting us to get all hyped up in the same manner in which they did over Ashton. They expect us to be hypocritical and place the blame for any depatures at the foot of the salary cap. What they don't realise is that we are able to view the salary cap for what it is and not for what they perceive it to be. In their opinion we should be storming the gates of the RFL demanding a change to the cap in the same way they have been harping on about incessantly for the past decade. They can't understand why we aren't responding in the same petulant and ill-conceived way in which many of them have and do. Please note this is not all Wigooners just the short-sighted ones.

How do you come to that conclusion based off the MEN article and this thread?

If it's true drop him for the rest of the season be that 1 match or two, let him go now and get a transfer fee.



If Saints can't get a transfer fee, drop him to the reserves for the entire 2010 season.
