Wigan with seven U18 qualified academy players won 22 - 16 against a Saints side that included Dean, Wheeler, Ellis, Armstrong, Dixon and Ashurst..



If Wheeler is Saints future number six than I would say you are in big trouble.

Based on one game coming back from injury?



He's a cracking player.

The big thing again was Saints lack of pace, they had three or four breaks but couldn't finish. Wheeler was on the end of one but was caught from 20 metres out.



Is at a conditioning thing at Saints?



The team that Saints had out should have beaten Wigan comfortably.

It looks as though you will be playing Leeds at Knowsley Road next week in the play off to meet Wigan in the final. That could be fun.

This is a question which is being asked by a number of fans because we have noticed that the first team are looking distinctly knackered in matches when they do put the effort in (a rarity these days but noticeable anyway).



Many of us would very much like Apollo back, please. He wasn't all gym work but took them out for runs in sand dunes and made them wear tights (and we all know how crucial that is to player fitness!). In fact, he was fab and the Chief needs to bribe him to return to the club asap. I think he still has a house here ...

Trouble is Saints messed around with a good formula. The lads that have played week in and week out to get to second in the table were dropped in favour of first teamers. Lads like Baines and Sutton were left out for the likes of Dixon, Ashurst, Dean and Wheeler. Tbh the first teamers were the ones that let them down. Knock ons mainly came from the Superstars!!! Hope the young lad Lucas is ok. Didnt lool too good when he went off.

That seems to be the theme of the season.





Coaching differences?

i think you're looking for problems, we've been forced to mess with the squad due to injuries, as well as we needed to blood young players to get them experience for next year, as we will next year. Don't expect a settled squad for a a year or two

Not over the last three weeks we haven't.



I don't need to look for problems at first grade level, they are there for everyone to see.
